One-day itinerary
- Early: arrive from Hanoi (leave ~7am, or stay the night before).
- Morning: Trang An boat tour before the buses arrive.
- Midday: lunch + the Mua Cave viewpoint (go before the afternoon heat, or save for golden hour).
- Afternoon: the ancient capital of Hoa Lu, then return to Hanoi.

Two-day itinerary
Day 1: arrive, settle into Tam Coc or Trang An, afternoon Tam Coc boat tour, sunset at Mua Cave, then a well-earned massage.
Day 2: sunrise cycle through the rice fields, Bai Dinh pagoda or Bich Dong, then Trang An before heading back.
Three-day itinerary
